THE STYLISTS OF BLUE
Styling Artist | Session Stylist
“Originally from Michigan (Spartan Country), I came here with my parents as a young child. Always having a desire to care and help people; I started on the path to a medical career and realized after 5 years of college that I was a little too independent to be tied down to a hospital or doctors office. At that point I had no idea how to do my own hair never mind anyone else’s. Intrigued by the career of my hairstylist and how she could possibly be so happy and full of vibrance everyday I pursued a career in cosmetology. I realized very quickly that not only was I changing the lives of clients but also allowing myself an amazing creative outlet. It has been almost 7 years now and I can not imagine doing anything else as a career.”
“I developed over time a desire for my own business that would allow each individual stylist to create their own art while being surrounded by a culture of Love, Support, Structure, and Fun. What a concept! Allowing hairstylists to embrace their creative independence while still maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence was the goal. Lets just say it has been worth the trials and tribulations. With Joy and Love I present to YOU our Blue Dahlia team of superior excellence and talent! I look forward to meeting every guest that enters our salon and please don’t ever hesitate to contact me directly.”
Makeup Artist | Session Stylist
“With ten plus years of professional hands on experience, I started learning about makeup at a very early age due to an illness my mother had that disabled her fine motor skills. My father taught me how my mother liked her make up, and I would help get her ready when they would go out. It was at that point when I realized that I love the feeling of transforming someone’s appearance and making them feel beautiful. By the end of my high school career, I had started my professional career doing wedding makeup. I quickly found myself mesmerized with the artistic aspect of makeup application and hair styling, and I started working predominantly in couture and editorial. By 23, I worked for East Coast Salon Services, training makeup artists for different makeup lines all along the east coast. I have additionally worked with well-known cosmetic and haircare lines, such as Chantecaille, Chanel, Makeup Forever, Mac, Young Blood, Davines, Kevin.Murphy, and many more.
For me, true beauty isn’t about conforming to traditional beauty; it's about finding what makes each of us unique and highlighting it. I want each of my clients to not only leave in love with their hair and make up, but also in love with a new aspect of themselves.”

Styling Artist | Salon Manager
I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia but have lived in florida for 20 years. I have been doing hair hands on for 15 years and have been in the industry for 18. My career has been finely tuned by the best mentors, educators, and innovators in our industry and through my experiences behind the chair and through continued education. My mentors and educators have inspired me to work hard at my craft and for that I am so thankful. For my clients that means we will take our sweet time making sure we not only satisfy your hair needs, but that you leave feeling like the best version of yourself.
Vidal Sassoon has been my biggest educational influence and style inspiration. I prefer 2-5 day courses so I am able to completely immerse myself and come back revitalized to bring my guests what I have learned. I have attended over 10 Sassoon courses including 3 Day ABC, 3 Day Creatives (Cut &Color), Collections, and 5 Day Classic.
The most important things in life to me are the fundamentals. To me that means family first, then hair & fun second! My 11 yea old daughter, Delany, is my biggest motivator and my best friend. Through being a parent I have learned how to meet others needs with both love and communication. With these skills I am able to define and improve not only my clients hair, but the way they feel. Classic hair styling fundamentals, to me, are most rewarding as they allow for the most creativity and progression of my skills. Invite you all to my second home at Blue Dahlia, and cannot wait to meet you!
